I'm very much delighted to share with you that today I'm starting my own blog!!!  It's a blog to explore the universe through data stories.

This blog has been a work in progress for some time. I've always wanted to go for writing blogs and share my thoughts & learning but the struggle of writing is real! Putting words to the non-stop train of thoughts that we want to share with people is difficult. With you guys backing me, I hope to learn the art of writing as well.

How it all started?

If you were to write/give an introduction about yourself in a brief story, what would it be? You must have come across this question numerous times at various locations such as interviews, colleges, schools, conferences, meetings etc. Like always, it's difficult to describe or talk about yourself in front of another person or a big crowd. And I'm no exception to this. Since my childhood, I've been shy, less spoken in friends' and family groups. More often than not I avoided the conversations at social gatherings. But the thing that gave me comfort and satisfaction then and even now is learning something new every day.

Like any other, my interests and passion for learning new subjects have varied throughout my childhood. But two areas of interest that have stayed all this while are Geography and Astronomy. Learning about new places, the structure and process of how things/places came to be were a few of my earliest love for learning things. And maybe that's why both these subjects have been very much close to my heart since then. Even though I have tried and explored other areas of studies and work, when I finished my graduation, I knew I wanted to pursue a career that revolved around these very same subjects.

Why the blog?

The thing about our universe is that everything that happens here is connected. You could explore various events through data science and arrive at beautiful & interesting patterns. And each of these patterns tells us some stories that give an insight into the functioning of the universe itself. This is very much fascinating and one of the reasons why my early childhood interests grew into a more evolved passion. I'd like to explore the universe through data stories and hopefully get a glimpse of its unique nature. And I want to share my learning through a blog with all the people who have a mad passion for exploring and learning about Space and Data Science.

I'll be covering 5 major areas through my blogs.

• Open Source, Programming

Major parts of the blog posts would be about exploring the universe through stories in each of the above categories which I'd like to call 'Data Stories'. There are other things planned to be included as well. Learning tutorials on aspects of GIS, ML and Data Science, tips, tricks and solutions that I've found useful while I was learning. And also, there's something exciting planned for Astronomy! Stay tuned!
